Purpose of the Position

The Junior Financial Officer will oversee financial operations, ensuring the efficient management of budgets, reporting, compliance, and resource utilization. The role is critical in providing accurate financial insights to support decision-making while maintaining fiscal integrity in a dynamic and fast-paced agribusiness environment.

What You’ll Do

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Prepare and present accurate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses.
  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Assist in budget preparation, monitoring, and reporting.

Accounts Payable and Receivable

  • Manage invoicing, payment collections, and vendor payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions.

Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure adherence to tax regulations and filing requirements.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation for audits.
  • Monitor internal controls to prevent fraud and financial risks.

Data Analysis & Decision Support

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
  • Support strategic initiatives with financial modeling and projections.

Collaboration & Support

  • Work with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes.
  • Assist in the implementation of financial software and system improvements.

Who You Are

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Professional certifications (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, CFA) are a significant advantage.
  • Experience:

    • At least 2 years of experience in accounting or financial management.
    • Proven expertise in budget preparation, financial reporting, and compliance.
    • Familiarity with accounting software like QuickBooks, Sage, or SAP.
  • Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Attributes:
